Tell me honestly… have you been feeling just a little out of whack lately?
Not unwell. Not falling apart.
Just… not quite you.
Maybe your energy is dipping by midday.
Maybe your mood feels a bit flat or scattered.
Maybe your body’s been whispering for attention, but life is so busy that it’s easier to just power forward and hope it settles.
If that’s where you are — you’re not alone. And there’s nothing “wrong” with you.
Your body is simply asking for a gentler kind of support.
So let me give you two simple things you can start with — no pressure, no overhaul, just tiny shifts that your body and nervous system absolutely love.
1. Your morning fuel matters more than you think
You know how you sometimes start the day racing — coffee in one hand, keys in the other, maybe a rushed piece of toast if you’re lucky? Your body feels that rush. And it responds by giving you the same kind of scattered energy throughout the day.
Try this instead: give yourself a breakfast with protein + healthy fats.
Nothing fancy — think scrambled eggs with avocado, Greek yoghurt with nuts, or chia pudding with berries. If too busy – maybe a pre-prepared quiche reheated…
This one small act steadies your blood sugar, supports your brain, and keeps your energy even… instead of that annoying afternoon slump.
2. End the day in a way your nervous system will sigh “thank you”
You and I both know that women carry a lot — even emotionally. So when you crash into bed still switched on, your body struggles to shift gears.
Here’s a tiny ritual that makes a big difference:
- 30 minutes of off-screen calm before bed.
- A book. A stretch. A few deep breaths.
- A moment where you tell your body, “It’s okay — I’m safe to slow down now.”
The more consistently you do this, the better you sleep… and the more alive you feel the next morning.
These may feel small, but together they act like a gentle rebalancing for your whole system. And honestly… most women don’t need more information — they just need a few nurturing steps in the right direction.
Which brings me to something special…

This is how gut microbes can influence weight!
Probiotics can help you gain weight or lose weight by interacting with our genetics, food and metabolism.
And yes, I did say lose or gain weight……..
Firstly, let me explain that the trillions of microbes in the gut need to be varied, meaning that there should be a large variety of species. There are many different species (or breeds) of microbes, and they all have their place in aiding health — the more variety and balance, the better health results.
Back to the weight loss or weight gain issue….
Do you eat yogurt and berries for breakfast? Thinking that it’s helping you lose weight?
Well, Lactobacillus acidophilus (like the species found in yoghurt) has been connected to weight gain.
I am not saying throw your yoghurt and berries in the bin. Instead, I am suggesting looking at the overall picture. If Lactobacillus acidophilus is the predominant micro-organism of the gut, then weight gain can result.
It is about the variety of species of gut microbes. Imagine if we only have trained german shepherd guard dogs in the world. It may be a safe world, but I am sure that other breeds may be more suitable as a family pet.
While Lactobacillus acidophilus is associated with weight gain, other Lactobacillus species correlate with weight loss.
Species like Lactobacillus plantarum, Lactobacillus gasseri, and Bifidobacteria animalis have been found to support weight loss.
Want to lose weight?
Look at your gut flora to support your goal.
Tests can be performed to identify the predominant species of the gut, and specific species can be utilised to support weight changes.
